Did you know that veggies are very high in protein as well? Lettuce gets 34% protein broccoli gets 45% spinach 49% cauliflower 40% and celery 20%. Just thought I would put that info out there. If you are vegetarian and would like to start a diet like this you won’t need to worry about buying whey protein and/or other protein supplements because the veggies that you eat already are very rich in protein. Working with percentages for veggies doesn’t bring home the bacon come up. Of course brocolli has 45% kcal coming from protein. It has only 34kcal/100 to start with. Veggies are 90% water. 100g brocolli has 3g protein. Which means you’d be 1kg brocolli to get 30g protein. Even if you eat 1kg brocolli a day you won’t get to 1g/lbs protein daily. Same story for other veggies. It sucks so hard that there are no real high/”all” protein food which I can easily add to fix things up when I undergo eaten much food with lots of carbs but low on protein. And I guess following something like this and remove bread pasta potatoes and so on ordain make my food lack even more vitamins & minerals. Maybe not if I eat lots of veggies. But then I’m not fat or well atleast I didn’t used to be =P but a clean diet is always nice. (I shouldn’t eat as much dried pineapple mango and papaya mixture as I’ve been eaten measure month or so but they are sooo delicious :D) The decrease carb diet needs a high intake of protein. I think there are some soy products higher in protein that you could try. But again the goal here is high protein. 1g/lbs protein should be the minimum. Also saturated fat from feat increases testosterone levels. Increased testosterone levels means more muscles mass muscle burn calories more muscles = more fat burned thus lower body fat. I had my lab bring home the bacon done on Monday and for some strange reason they had a difficult time doing the daub draw that day because they dug. I am now sporting a lovely injure. That means they blew through the vain… according to all my nursing friends. She had to back it out a little and then reinsert the needle. Fortunately I am not needle phobic. I undergo a friend who was practicing her daub draws when she got a position in a adulterate’s office and knowing how difficult I am to draw blood on….. I allowed her to learn on me. That my friend is how to tell you have a truly good friend. She is the only person I undergo ever allowed to go into the alter arm. My alter arm has no blood in it. No be who you are or how good you evaluate you are…. you will get nothing out of that arm. The sad thing that arm actually looks the beat. No it is the left arm that can usually be nailed first stick. It really bites that I now have to act until next month to see my cholesterol numbers. He was very pleased and quite ecstatic to know what I undergo been doing and that we are going by measurement and not scales. He change surface “high fived” me on the current numbers. Some of the other changes that I undergo tried over the past few months have been vitamins. I am taking 600mg of green tea extract a day. This great for the immune system and has been shown to actually aid cancer patients. This study was done through the Mayo Clinic. I am also using CO Q10. This has been shown to aide in lowering cholesterol and assist in building and keeping a stronger heart muscle. A report was released from several cardiologists who are now switching to CO Q10 with their patients who have suffered heart attacks. It is more effective in lowering cholesterol without all the align effects of using the more common meds. This is not making the drug companies happy. I undergo also added a combination Fish,Flax and Borage oil (high omega 3’s) to back up with cholesterol. Metamucil is also good for this. You just need to take 5 tablets with each meal. The fiber binds to the cholesterol and pulls it out of the blood be adrift. I have also switched to using coconut oil. This is very healthy and does not get stored in the body as other fats. It is immediately metabolized in the body. This is great for diabetics and those with heart and cholesterol issues. Not to have in mind what it does for your skin and hair.
